Frazier Life Sciences is a leading healthcare investment firm specializing in therapeutics, with over $1 billion under management and a portfolio of breakthrough treatments addressing critical unmet medical needs.
Founded by experienced healthcare investors, this Seattle-based firm partners with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies developing transformative therapies. With their deep industry expertise and network of clinical, regulatory, and commercial advisors, they needed a digital platform that could communicate their scientific rigor while showcasing their portfolio of life-changing treatments and their commitment to advancing patient care.
The Design Challenge
Creating a sophisticated digital platform that could effectively communicate complex scientific concepts while maintaining accessibility for diverse stakeholders. The existing web presence needed to showcase Frazier's deep therapeutics expertise and $1+ billion portfolio while clearly articulating their value proposition to both portfolio companies and limited partners in the highly specialized life sciences investment space.

Brand Elements
This complete redesign established a fresh visual identity for Frazier while respecting their existing brand equity. Drawing selectively from their established color palette and logo, I developed an entirely new design system that elevated their digital presence to match their standing in the therapeutics space. The result is a sophisticated platform that communicates scientific credibility while remaining accessible to diverse stakeholders.
Pattern Library
I developed a comprehensive pattern library spanning both content and interactive components. The system includes specialized patterns for portfolio companies, testimonials, and various card types (news, team, strategy, statistics), along with detailed case study templates. On the UX/UI side, I created flexible components for navigation systems, dropdowns, image sliders, modals, and other interactive elements—all designed to maintain consistency while giving the team efficient tools to scale their content as the portfolio grows.

Crafted a sophisticated design system for Pear VC's pre-seed and seed investment platform.
pear.vcPear VC stands at the forefront of early-stage venture capital, specializing in pre-seed and seed investments that transform ambitious ideas into category-defining companies.
Founded by Pejman Nozad and Mar Hershenson, this $432 million fund has backed iconic startups like DoorDash, Dropbox, and Guardant Health. With their unique dual structure combining traditional venture investing with an intensive accelerator program (PearX), they needed a digital platform that could speak to both scrappy entrepreneurs and seasoned co-investors while reflecting their "0 to 1" investment philosophy.

Creating a web presence that embodied their entrepreneurial spirit without sacrificing the credibility essential for institutional relationships. Their existing digital identity needed to communicate their hands-on approach to founder partnership while showcasing their impressive track record across AI, climate tech, and breakthrough consumer platforms.

Brand Elements
Building on the original 2022 site I designed for Pear, this refresh focused on evolving their visual identity while maintaining brand recognition. I extended their existing color palette with new complementary tones, curated their latest photo assets alongside archived founder imagery, and refined their typography system to create a more cohesive and contemporary brand expression that better reflected their growth as a firm.
Pattern Library
The comprehensive pattern library includes a sampling of key components designed for consistency and efficiency across the site. Each pattern was crafted with modularity in mind, featuring flexible testimonial cards, data visualization components for fund metrics, modal systems for portfolio deep-dives, and strategic information cards. This systematic approach enabled the development team to build pages faster while maintaining design coherence, and provides a scalable foundation for future content and features.
